Our range of occupancy and daylight sensors combines high performance and advanced features at a competitive price for demanding commercial applications. The range includes PIR, microwave and twilight controls, with options for meeting rooms, offices, corridors, storerooms, toilets, warehouses, cool rooms and external areas. Every sensor in the range is backed by local Australian stock, product support and a five-year warranty.
Available through Australian electrical wholesalers, with practical product-selection advice from REVBC.
Start with how the space is used: meeting room, office, corridor, storeroom, toilets, warehouse, cool room or external area. Does the application need presence or absence detection? Is manual switching required? Would wireless controls make installation or operation simpler?
Check mounting height, wall or ceiling position, coverage pattern and any direction or aiming requirements.
Choose PIR for areas with regular movement, microwave sensing where smaller movements need to be detected, and twilight control for external lighting.
Consider ingress protection, operating temperature, daylight sensing, the number of channels and programming requirements. Position and setup also matter where false triggering needs to be avoided.
PIR sensors detect movement by sensing changes in body heat within their coverage area. The RBC range includes wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, flush-mounted and surface-mounted options for general commercial spaces, corridors, high-bay areas and other demanding environments.
Microwave sensors can detect small movements and do not rely on changes in body heat. Depending on the material, microwave signals may pass through thin partitions, so careful placement, aiming and setup are important to avoid unwanted detection in adjoining areas.
The RBC-STS provides IP66 dusk-to-dawn, timer and smart twilight modes for external lighting control, reducing unnecessary operating hours while keeping lights on when needed. Smart twilight mode switches the lights off four hours after dusk and back on one hour before dawn, adjusting automatically as daylight hours change. Where separate areas need different control modes, dedicated RBC-STS units can simplify the timing and switching arrangement. In suitable applications, smart twilight mode can also remove the need for an astronomical time clock.

IP-rated PIR and twilight controls for entrances, covered outdoor areas and other exposed commercial applications.
Flexible flush-mounted and surface-mounted options, including dual-channel sensors, for offices, classrooms, bathrooms and shared spaces.
The range includes specialist corridor optics, sensors for higher mounting heights and options with extended temperature ranges for cool rooms.
Microwave sensing for applications where small movements need to be detected.
Sensor performance depends on more than detection range. Mounting height, coverage pattern, operating temperature, ingress protection, detection technology and the required lighting operation all influence the right choice.

For occupancy-based external control, the IP65-rated RBC501 and RBC504 suit demanding external applications. For daylight-based external lighting control, the IP66 RBC-STS provides dusk-to-dawn, timer and smart twilight modes.
The RBC534 is a flush-mounted, dual-channel PIR sensor with a long, narrow coverage pattern designed for corridors, aisles and similar circulation spaces. Its second channel can operate on a separate supply for essential and non-essential circuits.
The RBC540 is designed for high-bay installations up to 12 metres and can operate in low-temperature environments such as cool rooms.
Microwave sensing is useful when small movements need to be detected. The compact RBC550 is a directional IP65 option for compatible luminaire-mounted or ceiling-mounted applications.
