Pairing

This video will demonstrate how quick and easy it is to pair a wireless switch to a controller. This example uses an RBC 101 switch mechanism but the process is exactly the same with any of the 300 series European style switches and key fobs.

Useful Tips

  • Never hold the button of a switch in when pairing. Always use a short sharp click of the button to ensure the switch and the controller pair correctly.
  • Always ensure you only hold the button in on the controller for three seconds or until the red LED starts to flash. Holding it in any longer and you may find yourself in bridging mode instead of pairing mode.
  • Never install a switch before pairing. The majority of the time a controller will be installed in a roof space so take the switch up with you so can pair without having to have someone on ground level pressing the switch.

Resetting a controller

If for any reason you need to reset a controller, this video will show you how to do it. Please be aware that all previous pairings will be erased when a controller is reset.

Useful  Tip

  • When resetting any controller, always ensure the button is held in until the red LED goes out completely. It’s good practice to keep the button held in for a second or two after the LED has gone out just to be sure the controller has been reset properly.
